Bricknell welcomes new sponsor as round three draws close

Tasmanian sprintcar sensation Jamie Bricknell has today announced the backing of one of Tasmania's largest companies, Jackson Motor Company.

Latrobe, Nov. 29, 2011: The news is announced as Bricknell prepares to race in the tightly contested Farmers Union Iced Coffee Series this weekend at Latrobe.

"It's great to have Jackson Motor Company's support for the season" expressed team owner Steve. "To have such a prominant companys support can only be a benefit to us, and a positive step for speedway in general."

The team has been fine tuning the number #55 KRE powered Maxim after last weeks meeting was cancelled due to weather, as well as preparing a new chassis for debut at the end of December.

"This (current) car has had a good run" reflects Steve. "We quick timed in round three of WSS, and finished 5th in the Australian title in it, so it has served us well. The new chassis is a virtual carbon coby of this setup, with a few minor cosmetic changes thrown in for good measure."

After two rounds of the Farmers Union Iced Coffee series, with one a washout, Jamie sits atop the leader board, a mere 22 points ahead of nearest rival Tim Hutchins.

"The first round final was a great race"says Jamie. "Tim and I battled all the way to the line, and we managed to hold him off. Now we need to keep that momentum going for the following rounds.""
