London, Nov.28, 2011: The Minister of State for Trade & Investment, Lord Green, and former Minister for Science & Innovation, Lord Drayson, are confirmed as Keynote Speakers at the 6th International Low Carbon Racing Conference on Wednesday 11 January 2012 at Autosport International, NEC, Birmingham.

Key panellists so far confirmed are Nick Fry, Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Petronas GP, and Azhar Hussain MBE, Chief Executive Officer of TTXGP and the eGrandPrix.

"Low carbon technologies offer very attractive commercial opportunities for motorsport companies across a range of industrial sectors, including energy, automotive and aerospace. The global, low-carbon goods & services market is worth over £3 trillion and is growing strongly. By investing now, companies can ensure they are well positioned to profit from this increasingly important sector," said Lord Drayson.

"The MIA Low Carbon Racing Conference is a unique global event that has been way ahead of anybody else in connecting motorsport with the opportunities of our low-carbon future. Our industry needs to be part of the debate. This is the place."

Azhar Hussain MBE, TTXGP and the eGrandPrix: "Motorsport is being used more and more as the showcase for low-carbon technologies and development, and the focus of this conference will be to bring together thought-leaders and key influencers from motorsport, high-performance engineering and the automotive sectors."

There will also be exhibitors featuring real vehicles, concepts and prototypes - all demonstrating race-proven and low-carbon advances made by the high-performance engineering community.
