Hyundai Once Again Captures Top Marks; Jeep and Kia Join Hyundai as Top Brands in TrueCar.com's Grades for Manufacturers and Brands

SANTA MONICA, CA--Nov. 21, 2011: TrueCar.com, the authority on new car pricing, trends and forecasting, released its Performance Scorecards for automotive manufacturers and brands. The Performance Scorecards grade each manufacturer and brand on eight different measurements including pricing, sales, incentives, customer loyalty, market share and days in inventory data.

Overall, the top manufacturers on the Scorecards in November were Hyundai, Honda, and Subaru. At the bottom of the list were Mazda, Mitsubishi and Saab.  The brands that received the highest grades were Hyundai, Kia, and Jeep, while the brands with the lowest grades were Jaguar, Mitsubishi, Saab and smart.

The biggest gainers among manufacturers, from October 2011 to November 2011 were:

  • Jaguar Land Rover moved from a C+ to a B+
  • Suzuki moved from a D to a C
  • Porsche moved from a C- to a B

The biggest decliners among manufacturers, from October 2011 to November 2011 were:

  • Chrysler moved from a B+ to a B-
  • Nissan moved from a B to a C+
  • Daimler moved from a C+ to a C-
