Noblesville, Nov. 16, 2011: Derek Daly, founder of the Derek Daly Academy (DDA) will debut a major new career development step with the introduction of the DDA Financial Planning Matrix during the “What if it’s You!” seminar presented by Performance Friction Brakes taking place at the Performance Racing Industry Show, Friday, December 2nd from 3:15PM to 5:00PM off the main concourse of the Orlando Convention Center in Room S230D. The Financial Planning Matrix is a tool to help drivers and their support team to better understand how much funding they require to build a career, what different sources of funding there are and how to secure that funding. Using a five-year planning horizon, the DDA Financial Planning Matrix breaks down the various forms and channels of funding into specific sponsorship or activation programs. With the DDA Financial Planning Matrix, we will not just tell you what to do to raise the needed funding, but rather how to do it, while also being available to partner with you through the process.

“This is the part that everyone has been waiting for – how to raise the funding to race,” comments Daly from his office in Indianapolis. “This is the vital missing piece and DDA will literally walk you through the funding process in real time and with real results – DDA can also become your partner.”

During the “What if It’s You!” seminar, DDA partners will run through an example of how the matrix works. Then, DDA staff will do some role playing with a driver right from the audience to showcase how this program can work for you.

“If you are talking to someone who is a mature investor or simply an emotional financial supporter, this is exactly what they are looking for,” continues DDA Partner Jeff Grist. “At DDA we put your entire racing career on one page in a simple, easy to present format that works.”

The objective of this program is to give YOU the tools to find the funding and if needed, assist you during each of the steps. Experience tells us that few people in North American motorsports are in a position to "bring you" funding or sponsors, especially at the early stages of a racing career. Our job is to give you the knowledge and understanding of how to go about securing the funds. Also DDA will map out possible activation programs among your list of contacts and connections, as these are the best sources of support especially in the initial phases of the drivers racing career.
