In what has become a car builder's highest honor at the aftermarket industry event of the year, hundreds of exceptional rides were considered for the 11th annual Mothers® Shine Award. Held at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, the Shine Award honors uncompromising excellence in vehicle design. The winner is decided upon by an international panel of respected members of the automotive industry, including journalists, seasoned hobbyists and past winners. Judging is based on overall appearance, fit and finish, attention to detail, integration of custom and stock elements, creative vision and execution of concept.

Hosting the ceremony this year held at the Mothers Polish® booth were aftermarket industry veterans Joe Sebergandio and Will Handzel.

The 2011 Shine Award was presented to Bruce and Judy Ricks of Sapulpa, OK for their 1956 Ford convertible "Suncammer." This beautiful build is named for its 1967 Ford 427 cubic-inch SOHC engine under the hood. It features countless details including fully tuned suspension and a modification to every body panel. Built by Steve Cook Creations, Oklahoma City, OK over a period of more than five years, the "Suncammer" is located in Meguiar's booth #22643.
