SAE International to Host Light Duty Diesel Emissions Symposium, Nov. 2-3, in Michigan

WARRENDALE, PA--Oct. 25, 2011: SAE International will hold the SAE 2011 Light Duty Diesel Emissions Control Symposium, Nov. 2-3, 2011, at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest, Ypsilanti, Mich.

With more vehicles being driven, considerable attention continues to be paid to rising emission levels and global warming due to growing amounts of greenhouse gases - most predominantly CO2. Corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standards are becoming stricter in the U.S. and engineers are seeking answers on how to achieve better fuel economy systems that also emit lower levels of pollutants.

Geared specifically toward the U.S. marketplace, this symposium will feature leading experts who discuss and present information highlighting the pathways to emissions compliance and technologies that are under investigation, being demonstrated, and are set to be applied on current and future generations of light duty diesel engines.
