Toyota Announces Additional Stops on Prius v Creation Station Tour in Austin, Denver, Minneapolis and More

TORRANCE, CA--October 19, 2011: Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., along with FILTER Creative Group, is excited to announce that the "Prius v Creation Station Tour" has added additional destinations to its nationwide experiential tour. As part of the campaign, the Prius v has already visited festivals including Oakland's Eat Real and Boston's Life is Good leading up to the vehicle's arrival in dealerships later this fall. During the months of October through December, the Prius v Creation Station Tour is headed to Austin's Gypsy Picnic Trailer Food Festival, Denver's Boo at the Zoo, Parenting Magazine's World's Biggest Playgroup event at the Mall of America, the San Diego Zoo's Jungle Bells and more.

During the Prius v Creation Station Tour, potential owners will have the opportunity to see for themselves what the "v" in Prius v is all about -- versatility. From the Prius v Cargo Challenge to the kids' t-shirt coloring station, the tour is set to feature unique activities for children and adults alike. The experiential activations showcase the Prius v's roominess, fuel efficiency, sustainability and the all-new Entune multimedia system, winner of CNET's "Best of CES" and Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice awards.

The nationwide tour began on Sept. 23 in Oakland, Calif., and the remaining schedule of stops includes:

The Prius v Creation Station Experience

  • The Prius v Cargo Challenge showcases the expanded cargo room of the new Prius v, 58% larger than the 3rd gen Prius Liftback. Festival attendees can prove their awesome packing skills and see how fast they can fill the trunk. Prizes are awarded to the fastest teams.
  • Prius v will come equipped with Entune, Toyota's award winning all-new multimedia system. Product specialists will be on hand to show guests how the system works. Entune debuts the first-ever support for engaging mobile apps, such as Bing, OpenTable, and movietickets.com, along with accessing useful travel-related services, such as live weather, traffic, fuel information (location and price), stocks, and sports. The Prius v also offers SiriusXM Satellite Radio, HD Radio with iTunes tagging for future purchase, CD player, USB connectivity, Bluetooth® wireless phone with automatic phone book transfer and music streaming.
  • Prius Family Gaming: The Prius Prize Wheel adds an element of competition to the Creation Station. Guests can spin the wheel to win a variety of prizes.
  • Kids' Art Stations: While participating in the Prius v Creation Station, guests can create Shrinky Dinks® and tap into their inner artist with color-on t-shirts.
  • Prius Photo Booth: Festival goers can hop into the Prius Photo Booth to snap a picture, and then take away a lenticular photo as a souvenir of the day.
