VALLADOLID, SPAIN – October 19, 2011: His Highness Félipe de Borbón, Prince of Asturias, visited the Valladolid plant in Spain, the cradle of Renault Twizy, a new all-electric concept in urban mobility. This plant will be the sole builder of Twizy from the end of the year.

Accompanied by Jean-Pierre Laurent, President and CEO of Renault in Spain, José Vicente De Los Mozos, Vice-President, Manufacturing Assembly Plants, Renault Group, Javier Huelmo, Director of the Valladolid plant, and locally elected representatives, the prince opened the 9,000 m2 area dedicated to the electric vehicle.

The technology mastered by the Valladolid plant marks a first in Spain’s industrial and automotive history. His Highness Prince Felipe took the wheel of the cheerful Twizy, praising the performance of this quiet two-seater vehicle, which will soon be available to everybody.
