GM FOUNDATION SUPPORT OF MLK MEMORIAL
The General Motors Foundation played a major role in this historic event by donating more than $10 million to the Memorial since fundraising began in 2006. In an announcement made by GM North America President Mark Reuss during the MLK Legacy Reception, this weekend, the GM Foundation has pledged an additional $100, 000 grant to the MLK Foundation that led the project.

The celebration concluded a weekend of pre-dedication activities including the Dream Gala, where Reuss accepted an award on behalf of Chevrolet and the GM Foundation. Additionally, Chevrolet sponsored the "Table of Brotherhood Project," a five-city tour that culminated with the monument unveiling.
