CONCORD, Oct. 16, 2011: Matt Kenseth put an emphatic exclamation point on a dominate Roush Fenway weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with a commanding victory in his No. 17 Fluidmaster Ford in Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 Sprint Cup race. Three different Roush Fenway Ford Fusions led on the evening, with Carl Edwards finishing third in the race. David Ragan and Greg Biffle (led 68 laps) both overcame late accidents to finish 11th and 15th respectively after strong runs.

With the performance, Edwards extends his Sprint Cup Series points’ lead to five markers, while Kenseth, who led 46 laps in the race, moves up two spots to third in the standings; seven points out of first place at the half-way point of the Chase.

The win is Kenseth’s third Sprint Cup victory of the 2011 season and Roush Fenway’s fifth Sprint Cup win this season. Roush Fenway has now won 16 NASCAR races this season, with Kenseth and Edwards sweeping the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races this weekend at Charlotte. Kenseth now boasts 21-career Sprint Cup victories.
