Ficosa, Chosen by Renault-Nissan as Supplier of Automatic Shifter Systems

VILADECAVALLS, SPAIN – October 14, 2011: The Spanish multinational automotive supplier Ficosa has been chosen by French-Japanese alliance Renault-Nissan to produce the automatic shifter systems for next generation small segment vehicles.

Ficosa will commercializeand produce these oriducts for the markets in Europe, Nafta, Mercosur and Asia. At the same time, the Japanese company Fuji Kiko will produce the volumes of the shifterfor the Chinese and Japanese markets. This agreement is a direct result of the collaboration between the companies involved.

This contract will represent sales of €45 million. According to Xavier Pujol, CEO of Ficosa, ”this is a clear example of how our customers trust our company. The nomination of Ficosa as sole supplier for automatic shifter systems reflectc the commitment of our company with innovation and growth in rising geographicalareas, such as Nafta or Mercosur”.
