UK Transport Minister Visit To Kia UK Head Office

WEYBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM – Oct 11, 2011: Local MP and Secretary of State for Transport Philip Hammond visited Kia Motors UK Limited., Head Office in Weybridge, to learn more about the company’s plans for the future.

After taking a tour of the office and meeting staff, many of whom live in the Weybridge and Runnymede area – his constituency, Mr Hammond was taken through a presentation on Kia business and their local ambitions across the UK.

Michael Cole, Managing Director explained the history of Kia Motors around the world, briefed Mr Hammond on the company’s growth and production strategy.

Mr Hammond asked about Kia UK’s long-term plans employment and development as part of the UK motor industry and also wanted to hear about Kia’s global strategy on low emission transport.
