Majestic Steel USA Releases Mobile App for Steel Buyers

CLEVELAND, Oct. 7, 2011 -- Majestic Steel USA has released a new mobile application for flat-rolled steel buyers. Unravel: Flat-Rolled Steel Calculator makes it easy to verify steel coil and sheet specs. Unravel is free to download and now available in the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPad, with plans of a later release for the Android platform.

The groundbreaking app enables quick and easy weight, cost and yield calculations, including computing the weight of a steel coil or bundle without a scale, calculating price per square foot, and finding total area, length or number of sheets. Using a few simple metrics found with a tape measure, users can determine a great deal of relevant information about their steel purchase. Unravel works with all coated and uncoated material.

The app will debut at METALCON International in Atlanta, Georgia next week, the annual expo for the metal construction industry. It will also be demoed at Majestic Steel's hospitality event for the annual HARDI conference, to be held October 25 in Maui, Hawaii.
