SAN DIEGO--Oct. 6, 2011: Join Encinitas Foreign & Domestic and Stellar Solar as they celebrate the launch of their 46kW solar system on Wednesday, October 12 from 5-8 p.m. The system is the latest in a long line of efforts to make the first certified Green Service station in San Diego County environmentally friendly.

"We have been looking at solar from not only an environmental point of view, but an economic perspective," said Leo Macaluso, owner of Encinitas Foreign & Domestic. He added, "This system is going to offset a significant portion of our electric bill so it made sense to me as a bottom-line-focused business owner."

Kent Harle, Stellar CEO, added, "Encinitas Foreign & Domestic has a very unique facility that presented some installation challenges. Our architects and engineers worked together with them to come up with a solution and we are very happy with the results. It's a very nice looking system and will provide a significant offset to their electric bill."

The event will include:

  • Nissan Leaf and Electric Mini Cooper test drives
  • Complimentary food from Via Italia and homemade Gelato
  • Solar panel desk give-away
  • Auto detail give-away
  • Live entertainment
  • On-the-spot solar quotes for your home
  • Tours of the 46kW solar system.
  • RSVP at Stellar Solar EFD
