VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Oct 4, 2011: Mazda Australia today announced that an updated version of its Mazda6 family car, boasting additional equipment and sharper pricing, will go on sale this month.

The top-selling Mazda6 Classic variants are now offered in Touring grade, offering lower pricing and even better value. They gain front and rear parking sensors, leather seat trim and power adjustable front seats with driver’s side memory function.

Pricing is also sharper. The Touring sedan and hatch are both priced at $300 below the equivalent Classic models.

The Mazda6 Touring wagon has been cut $3,370 to align with the new hatch and sedan Touring siblings.

All Touring models feature a comprehensive list of features including climate control AC, BluetoothŽ, cruise control, trip computer, rain sensing wipers, six airbags and DSC as standard.

The Mazda6 Diesel wagon is also included in the upgrade action, adding front and rear parking sensors, leather seat trim and power adjustable front seats with driver’s side memory function.

This means that for the first time ever all Mazda6 models come with leather seat trim and parking sensors as standard.

Five-door Sports models also benefit from the upgrade with both the Mazda6 Luxury Sports and Diesel Sports adding a fully integrated satellite navigation system with 7-inch full-colour touch screen at no extra cost. Previously, this was a $2,800 option.
