Waiting for the other shoe to drop from the Venezuelan Oil Dictator

As far as I know, Hugo Chavez has not yet spoken the words that I used in the headline, but I don't understand why not.

Hugo Chavez metaphorically burning the Venezuelan Bill of Rights

Considering how much Chavez hates us, and all the other things he accuses the U.S. government of doing, how has he missed the opportunity to blame his illness on the CIA or the FBI or ATF, or even Wal-Mart. It's such a perfect opportunity to blame us capitalist war-mongers for trying to kill him in order to kill the glorious Venezuelan peoples' rebellion.

At the least, the Castro Brothers should be making the claim. I don't get it. Something's just not right.

Comedienne Janeane Garofalo shot her mouth off the other day; you'd think that she would have said something about what the U.S. did to Chavez, as long as she had the microphone in front of her. Michael Moore hasn't been on the Larry King Show recently (or whatever CNN is calling it these days); perhaps this could be a good point of re-entry. Tim Robbins has also been quiet, hmmm. Oh, talk about quiet, what happened to Al Franken? Man, he's positively invisible - he could use the Chavez accusation to propel himself back into the national spotlight (he must be getting closer to starting a re-election campaign).

Maybe this is the calm before the storm.
