MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Sept 26, 2011: The perfect ‘no fuss’ Voltage Sensitive Relays suitable for a wide variety of 12V DC applications have been released by Projecta.

Two 12V Voltage Sensitive Relays 100Amp and 200Amp, plus a 12V 100Amp Voltage Sensitive Relay Kit which requires no modification to the vehicle wiring, have been introduced into the Projecta range.

Suitable for a wide variety of 12V DC applications on recreational and utility vehicles, boats and commercial vehicles, voltage sensitive relays sense the input voltage of the main battery and automatically connect when the voltage is sufficient. The load/appliance also automatically disconnects when the input voltage drops, preventing flattening of the input battery. A manual override function is provided to enable the voltage sensitive relay to be engaged even if the automatic system is not activated. This is ideal for dual battery systems allowing batteries to be paralleled for high power useage such as jump starting, winching etc.

The new relays are fully sealed to IP66 rating to avoid the ingress of water and dust, they have silver tipped contacts for superior current transfer and have inbuilt surge protection. To indicate when the relay has been activated an L.E.D indicator illuminates.

Ideal for 4WD vehicles the 12V 100A Relay Kit includes the relay plus a comprehensive list of components including 4 metres of main battery cable, auxiliary battery earth cable, battery terminals, lugs, heat shrink and cable ties.

Projecta Voltage Sensitive Relays and Relay Kits are now available from leading automotive and 4WD outlets Australia wide.
