Zipcar Announces the Extension of Its On-Street Parking Pilot Program With the City of Los Angeles

WHAT:

On August 17, 2011, the Los Angeles City Council voted to extend Zipcar's on-street parking pilot program in Hollywood, Westwood and the areas around the University of Southern California (University Park) until Sept. 14, 2012. Currently, Zipcar has 100 cars in the greater LA area.



WHEN:

Zipcar's on-street parking program extended another year until Sept. 14, 2012



DETAILS:

Zipcar has had a presence in Los Angeles since 2007. Currently, pods of Zipcars are located in Hollywood and on the campuses and surrounding areas of the University of Southern California, the University of California -- Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, Pomona College and Occidental College.  In the coming weeks, Zipcar will be adding a General Manager position which further demonstrates Zipcar's commitment to bringing its proven model of car sharing success to a greater number of communities in and around Los Angeles.
