LONG BEACH, August 30, 2011: AiM Mobile Inspections today released findings showing their condition reports can save buyers up to $4,000 on a used vehicle. AiM Mobile Inspections, a national car and truck evaluation company for consumers, dealers and manufacturers (www.aimmobileinspections.com), conducted a sampling from thousands of vehicles inspected since January 2011 to determine potential savings for customers.

“In today’s economy, saving any amount of money is important,” said Eric Widmer, AiM’s vice president, sales and operations, which recently conducted its 35 millionth inspection. “Buyers and sellers don’t have to quibble whether the vehicle is in excellent, good or poor condition. Our condition reports provide an unbiased picture as to how the vehicle should be valued.”

Ademola Ogunbekun, an AiM customer who was part of the sample, was considering two 2008 BMW’s that were located outside of his home state of Oklahoma. Ogunbekun utilized AiM’s condition report and saved $4,000.

“AiM saved me a lot of money, including more than $1,200 in travel expenses to see a car that would’ve left me feeling disappointed,” said Ogunbekun. “AiM is a lifesaver. Negotiating for a vehicle hundreds of miles away is scary, especially without being able to see the physical and mechanical condition.”

AiM’s 150-point inspection report – with photos – covered the vehicle from bumper-to-bumper and was emailed within 48 hours to Ogunbekun. It revealed the 535i in Alabama was in excellent physical and mechanical condition. Ogunbekun was able to negotiate an additional $2,998 off of the asking price.

Twenty-seven percent of AiM Mobile Inspections customers who purchased a vehicle reported the final price was one to 10 percent less than the seller’s asking price. An additional six percent of the customers saved more than 20 percent off the seller’s asking price.

“The AiM condition report allowed us to sell a car to a buyer two states a way,” said Bruce Mahle, Volvo Fort Meyers’ senior sales advisor, who sold a 2006 Lexus LX 470 that AiM inspected. “The buyer hired AiM to be her eyes and ears and discovered that the car was in excellent shape.”
