Motorsports Venues - Thunderhill Raceway Moves Forward With Plans For 2012 Racing Season

KYLE, August 25, 2011: As the 2011 racing season winds down over the next few weeks, Thunderhill Raceway (Kyle, TX) is already making plans for the 2012 racing season.

The 2012 stock car racing events will be scheduled on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, starting with the season opener on Saturday, March 3, 2012. The regular race season will end with the Texas Stock Car Spectacular on September 28 (Friday), 2012, and September 29 (Saturday), 2012, followed by the annual Crash Fest on October 7 (Sunday), 2012. The specific race dates are shown below:

”We hope that this early release of next year’s schedule will help our drivers and fans begin making plans for next year,” said Mary Ann Naumann, Thunderhill Raceway’s Owner/Promoter. “By having a consistent schedule throughout the year (1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month), it will make it much easier for everyone to keep track of our race dates.”

Thunderhill Raceway also plans to continue its current relationship with NASCAR in 2012 as one of its home tracks in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.

Thunderhill Raceway is a 3/8-mile, D-shaped asphalt oval track that’s located at 24801 IH-35, Kyle (TX), just north of San Marcos and south of Austin, at Exit #210 (Yarrington Road)
