KLD Energy Technologies Teams up with Global Vehicle Leader Qianjiang

AUSTIN, TX--KAugust 24, 2011: LD Energy Technologies Inc., leaders in electric propulsion and generation systems, announces Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd. (Qianjiang) will serve as a contract manufacturer for the company and intends to leverage KLD Energy Technologies' electric motor systems. Qianjiang, based in Wenling, Zhejiang, China, is one of the largest motorcycle and engine manufacturing companies in the world with a reach that extends to more than 100 countries.

With an advanced electric vehicle division, Qianjiang is one of the largest two-wheeled vehicle manufacturers in China, with annual output of more than one million units. As part of its continuing development of core electric vehicle technologies, Qianjiang also recently announced that it plans to jointly develop lithium ion phosphate batteries with Henderson, Nevada-based K2 Energy Solutions, a manufacturer and seller of rechargeable battery systems.

Qianjiang produces and markets motorcycles, e-bikes and scooters, as well as a range of other vehicles and equipment. Owner of the legendary Italian motorcycle company Benelli, and known for its research and development prowess, Qianjiang exports products throughout Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

KLD Energy Technologies" initial application of its technology is in the two-wheel electric vehicle market. The company is also working in diversified industrial channel markets that can benefit from efficient, high-torque motors, including wind energy generation equipment, forklifts, elevators, escalators, air conditioners, pumps, and three- and four-wheel electric vehicles.
