PARIS – Aug 24, 2011: With Citroen’s on-going ‘Business Class’ strategy delivering positive results, the Company is one of the first LCV manufacturers to signal its firm intention to exhibit at the CV Show in 2012 (NEC, 24-26 April). Citroën, which has attended every CV Show in its current format, will use next year’s event as a launch platform for key new developments of its award-winning LCV range.

Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, remarked: “The CV Show has been of great value to Citroën in its LCV marketing strategy. With major developments in hand for virtually all models in our advanced LCV range, we expect the 2012 CV Show to be more important than ever for us.”

Citroën’s 2012 LCV developments will come hot on the heels of the introduction of its complete 2011 Euro 5 engine range. This will see Citroën maintain its position as the supplier of LCVs with class-leading fuel economy and CO2emissions figures. As part of its 2011 Euro 5 programme, Citroën will be introducing ultra-low emissions, highly fuel efficient Euro 5 HDi engines. These will be available with manual gearboxes, as well as an increased number of advanced EGS automated manual and torque-converter automatic transmissions. The addition of

Stop & Start technology to key models in the range enhances the fuel-saving and emissions-reducing benefits of Citroën’s Euro 5 engines still further.

“Citroën’s comprehensive 2012 LCV development programme will result in a range of vehicles that will provide significantly improved operational benefits for our business customers. The 2012 CV Show will provide the ideal launch platform for Citroën’s latest, standard-setting commercial vehicles,” adds Scott Michael.
