HERNDON, VA--August 18, 2011: Wireless Matrix (TSX: WRX), a leading provider of GPS fleet tracking services, announced today that it will provide GPS tracking for the 10th annual America's 9/11 Ride, August 19-21.

“We're pleased to provide GPS tracking that allows people to follow the progress of the America's 911 Foundation's memorial ride.”

Established by America's 911 Foundation, Inc., America's 9/11 Ride is a three-day memorial motorcycle ride remembering the heroes, volunteers and victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

The event begins on August 19 in Shanksville, PA, with a remembrance at the Flight 93 National Memorial, and then travels over the next two days to the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and to the World Trade Center site in New York, with additional ceremonies at each site.

Wireless Matrix's GPS tracking solution will allow ride organizers to provide local authorities with real-time status updates on the expected arrival of the procession in their jurisdictions. This allows tighter coordination and precision timing of local public safety efforts around the procession throughout the three day event.

Founded in 2001, America's 911 Foundation actively supports first responders nationwide, including sponsorship of a college scholarship program for the children of active EMS, fire and police first responders.

"In the decade since the 9/11 attacks, this annual event has created a living memorial to America's first responders and their sacrifices," said J. Richard Carlson, president and CEO of Wireless Matrix. "We're pleased to provide GPS tracking that allows people to follow the progress of the America's 911 Foundation's memorial ride."

More information about the event can be found at the organization's website, Americas 911 Ride.
