London, August 17, 2011: The British Racing & Sports Car Club, founders of the Formula Ford Festival, are holding a celebratory dinner on the Saturday night of this year's event (15 October 2011), to mark the 40th anniversary of the iconic meeting.

The Club sincerely hopes that many of those who - in some way, shape or form - have raced, supported and enthused about 'THE FESTIVAL' will attend and join in the fun evening, to be staged in the MSV Centre at Brands Hatch.

Club Chairman Bernard Cottrell said: "Despite the clash with the Korean GP, we are optimistic that many of our previous 'Festival' winners will be able to attend. We hope that old and new teams, competitors, mechanics, 'gofers', marshals and spectators will regard this as a 'must' for their diaries and combine it with a stay overnight and a day at the races on the Sunday, to see who will become the 40th Formula Ford Festival winner. It will be an international dinner, initiated no doubt by the traditional invasion from Ireland, coupled with our many friends from Europe, America and the southern hemisphere."

Tables of ten priced at just £350 or individual tickets at £35 are now available from the BRSCC HQ. The dinner will start at 8pm and - as it will be at the end of the first day of the Festival - the dress code will be relaxed to smart casual/teamwear.
