MELBOURNE – Aug 15, 2011: Demonstrating its commitment to the Australian truck market, NC2 Global, LLC named long-time Caterpillar senior manager Bill Fulton to the newly created position of Managing Director, Australia, with responsibility for CatŪ trucks and distribution in that market.

NC2 is the 50/50 joint venture between Caterpillar and Navistar . The company launched the first-ever Cat on-road trucks, the Cat CT610 and the Cat CT630, in Australia in November 2010.

“Bill Fulton is well qualified to lead our expanding presence in Australia, which is one of our priority markets worldwide,” said NC2 President Phil Christman. “Bill’s experience in building our global distribution network at NC2, and his deep knowledge of the on-highway engine business from Caterpillar, gives him extensive experience in addressing the needs of Australian on-highway truck customers. He is committed to continuing to build our Cat truck lineup in Australia, along with a Cat distribution network that stands second to none in providing customer support.”

Fulton had previously served as NC2’s Executive Director, Dealer Operations, where he developed and implemented the company’s on-highway truck distribution network in key markets around the world. Previously, he served as Caterpillar’s General Manager for Truck Engines in the Asia/Pacific region, where he was based in Australia and led the development of the company’s specialty on-highway engine business.

“I am very excited about this opportunity, because it builds on the extensive groundwork NC2 has already established in Australia,” Fulton said. “Our foundation includes exciting new on-highway truck products, a strong Australian dealer network, and a unique value proposition that’s rooted in the performance, durability and quality associated with the Cat brand. I look forward to returning to Australia, where I have spent extensive time and have developed a special appreciation for the needs of the Australian trucking industry.”
