LONDON--August 5, 2011:

Hertz, the world's largest general use car rental brand, is supporting the European movie launch of Disney-Pixar's "Cars 2", the highly-anticipated sequel to 2006's "Cars," with a range of exciting initiatives. Disney in association with Hertz, a partner of Disneyland(R) Paris is offering competitions across Europe for families to win a stay at Disneyland Paris, car rental discounts and has created a dedicated Hertz / "Cars 2" microsite for kids and parents.

The promotion features the car rental provider's new Family Selection, a specific group of vehicles that have been specially chosen to offer a wide choice of family friendly models.

"Cars 2" has been released across Europe over the past few weeks to entertain kids during their school summer holidays. Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car.

In celebration of the film's release, together Disney and Hertz are offering families in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain a chance to stay at Disneyland Paris through a free prize draw where they can discover Lightning McQueen during the Disney Magical Moments Festival, along with lots of other magical moments.

The winning family of four will travel to and from Disneyland Paris on the weekend of 23 September 2011 for two nights and will stay at a Disney hotel. The prize includes free park entrance with VIP FASTPASS(R) access, magical time with a Disney Character and a dinner hosted by Hertz.

The closing date is 12 August 2011, and terms and conditions apply, which can be downloaded from the Hertz / "Cars 2" microsite at Disney and Hertz

Kids can also have fun by downloading and colouring-in Disney-Pixar "Cars 2" black and white cartoon images found on the Hertz / "Cars 2" site. They can also use the cool online colouring machine to transform the images into multi-colour masterpieces. The site will also feature an online gallery of some of the pictures.

Hertz will also promote the Disney-Pixar "Cars 2" collaboration through online channels - including Facebook, Twitter and its own websites. Rental locations will also feature "Cars 2" branded posters and leaflets, as well as mirror hangers in vehicles and rental agreement wallets to promote the movie release date in cinemas.

Michel Taride, President of Hertz International and Executive Vice President, Hertz Corporation, said: "Hertz and Disneyland Paris share a common vision for superior quality and a great family experience. The 'Cars 2' collaboration is a really exciting opportunity for us to work with the wider Disney organization as part of our extended partnership. The film sees the characters driving across the Continent and in the UK, so it's a fantastic way for us to engage with families over the summer in our European locations."
