Team Manager Mitch Davis on Mid-Ohio: “Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing is looking forward to racing on a permanent road course again. Charlie was able to come out to the test at Mid-Ohio on Thursday, July 28 and work with his engineers on driving styles in preparation for the race this weekend.”

History at Mid-Ohio: Kimball will attempt to make his first career start at Mid-Ohio in the IZOD IndyCar Series on Sunday, August 7. He made two starts in Firestone Indy Lights on the sports car course with an average starting position of ninth and average finishing position of eighth. Kimball’s best finish of third came in 2010.

Battle of the Rookies: Kimball holds third-place in the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year points standings, 71 markers behind leader J.R. Hildebrand.

In the Points: Kimball sits 21st in the overall IZOD IndyCar Series point standings, 247 points behind leader Dario Franchitti.
