HARBIN, China--Aug. 1, 2011: Harbin Electric, Inc., ("Harbin Electric" or the "Company"; Nasdaq: HRBN), a leading developer and manufacturer in the People's Republic of China of a wide array of electric motors, announced today that it will report its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, after market close.

The Company will host a conference call to discuss the first quarter 2011 financial results at 9:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Tianfu Yang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Zedong Xu, Chief Financial Officer, and Christy Shue, Executive Vice President, will be on the call.
