INDIANAPOLIS, July 31, 2011: Roush Fenway Racing dominated Saturday’s pole day at Indianapolis; sweeping both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Poles with its respective No. 6 Ford entries. David Ragan captured the pole for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, covering the famed 2.5-mile oval in 49.182 (182.994 mph) in his No. 6 UPS/Ned Jarrett NASCAR Hall of Fame Ford, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. put his No. 6 Blackwell Angus Beef/Cargill Ford Mustang on the pole across town at Lucas Oil Raceway with a time of 22.808 (108.278 mph).

"It sounds good,” said Ragan who won July’s race at Daytona International Speedway. “Brickyard winner would sound even better. This is the first step to winning the race tomorrow. Our UPS Ford has been fast. It's been fast in qualifying trim. We still need to work on it a little bit for race trim.”

Ragan led three Roush Fenway cars in the top 10 in qualifying for the Brickyard. Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards will start ninth and 10th for Sunday’s race. Greg Biffle, who led the afternoon practice session, will start 18th.

Roush Fenway had three cars in the top five at LOR, with Edwards qualifying third and Trevor Bayne qualifying fifth.
