CRANFORD, NJ--July 31, 2011: National Truck Protection Inc. (NTP), North America’s leading independent provider of warranty and service contracts to the trucking industry, announced today that the company has formed a strategic alliance with Asset Appraisal Services, one of the country’s leading providers of third party inspections on used commercial equipment. As a result of this alliance, NTP will utilize the results of Asset Appraisal’s inspections, to satisfy their pre-warranty inspection requirements.

“That is why a good inspection is at the forefront of every warranty we write”

“Our engagement with Asset Appraisal is another way in which NTP makes it very easy for truck dealers to conduct business with us,” said Robert S. Amico, president of NTP. “Asset is established as one of the leading providers of third party inspections. We are currently finalizing the systems architecture for transmitting Asset Appraisal’s inspection results, directly into NTP’s new online Inspection and Warranty System, providing for the fastest and easiest processing in the industry.”

“Used truck dealers and purchasers should always insist on a credible, well documented inspection. Without an inspection, there is no agreed upon record of the condition of the vehicle. This leaves the door open for potential disputes once the truck is driven off the lot,” said Amico. “That is why a good inspection is at the forefront of every warranty we write”.

With NTP warranties all parties have the comfort and knowledge that should any issues arise with their trucks, they will be covered and the issue resolved. In recent months, NTP has continued to expand strategic relationships within the industry, making the acquisition of an NTP warranty as simple and seamless as possible for the used truck owner. The company’s alliance with Asset Appraisal is another example of this effort.

“NTP has long since established itself as one of the premium providers of warranties in the used truck business and we are very pleased to be working in partnership with the most trusted industry leader,” said Michael Cox, president of Asset Appraisal. “Every warranty requires an inspection. By working together, we can speed the process for dealers and get their vehicles processed and sold quicker.”
