SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – July 28, 2011: Honda (UK) has appointed Ed Hummel as Manager – Corporate Operations to re-establish Honda’s position in the fleet market. This appointment reinforces Honda’s commitment to increasing fleet sales and building Honda's relationship with corporate customers.

Ed’s focus will be to develop and implement a strategy that achieves Honda’s ambition to grow its Fleet volume to over 30,000 sales by 2014.

“I have joined Honda at a very exciting time,” commented Ed Hummel. "We have some fantastic new models coming in the next couple of years, including great low-CO2 emitting cars and we need to ensure we have a strong strategy in place to really maximise these opportunities and do these products justice."

Ed joins Honda from Volkswagen where he held the position of National Leasing Manager. Prior to this he held various sales and marketing roles at both Ford and Volkswagen.
