All of Ford's newer retail vehicles earned fuel efficiency ratings above their segment average, according to the J.D. Power 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study. APEAL measures customer satisfaction in design, content and vehicle performance. Increasingly, customers say fuel efficiency leadership is a reason to buy a Ford.  more...

Ford hybrids post impressive quality record

The Ford Fusion Hybrid has now logged hundreds of millions of worry-free miles, proving out the durability of Ford's hybrid technology. Among the nearly 43 million battery cells Ford has tested or seen put to work in customer vehicles, only five issues have been documented. In California alone in the past 10 years, Ford's hybrid taxis have logged more than 80 million miles -- more than quadruple the number Toyota's Prius lineup has recorded.  more...

Ford Transit Connect Taxis headed to New York City

The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission has named Ford Transit Connect a taxi of today by green-lighting the fuel-efficient vehicle for use in the Big Apple. This puts New York on the list of big cities including Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia where officials have approved the nimble Transit Connect for taxi use.  more...
