Charlotte, July 8, 2011: For the first time in his diverse racing career, Robby Gordon will be participating in the “by invitation only” Bullrun Live Rally. The Bullrun Live Rally, or commonly known as, “The Bullrun” is the most glamorous and high profile of the new breed of high-end luxury automotive rallies. Limited to 100 entries, the finest high performance cars in the world take on an epic eight day rally-style race across the US. The rally has attracted stars such as Kim Kardashian, Dennis Rodman, and Carl Lewis.

With a spectacular launch party in Las Vegas on July 8th, the rally will kick off from Fremont Street on Saturday, July 9th. The “Bullrunners” will start each day not knowing where their route will take them or what exciting challenges lie ahead. Making their way from one checkpoint to the next, the race will finish seven days later in Miami.

No stranger to rallies, Gordon has won rallies across Europe, Africa and South America in his off-road vehicles. For the 2011 Bullrun, Gordon is partnering with Jeep and piloting a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. With Toyo Tires and a HEMI V-8 on board, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the ultimate performance SUV.

“I’m really excited to be participating in the 2011 Bullrun. It’s basically a modern day ‘Cannonball Run’ just set up like the Dakar Rally. It’s run on public highways within speed limits, but the guy that gets there first still wins. It’s very fitting for SPEED Energy and I’m able to do it with our great partners, Dodge, Jeep and Toyo Tires. It’s an awesome opportunity to introduce SPEED to a new audience and have some fun doing it”, Gordon says.
