Noblesville, July 6, 2011: MAZDASPEED driver Conor Daly, second-generation formula car racer, capped off a brilliant weekend in the Spanish port city of Valencia two weeks ago, finishing seventh, but catching the eye of many with his ability to make difficult precision passes. He now prepares for the fast sweeps of the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit in England

"Valencia was really good for me and showed what we can do as a team. It is important that we maintain that progress at Silverstone starting with better qualifying,” comments Daly from his European home base in London, England. “Having tested at Silverstone in the past, I know the circuit fairly well which will help".

Daly will be back in action this coming weekend as part of the British Grand Prix., July 8th-10th. He has been hard at work with the Carlin Team as they look to carry their recent momentum to Silverstone. This past weekend saw Daly head over to the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed to take in the large Indy Car exhibit.

"This is a great week in England for motor sports. I was proud to see such a big American presence in Goodwood, and it was very cool when IMS announcer Dave Calabro took the microphone. It was a great event and a great lead in to Silverstone. I always feel a great sense of anticipation with these races at Grand Prix events,” continues Daly. “Silverstone is one of the faster circuits and the British fans are awesome supporters - it's just a great atmosphere to be part of.”
