David Bauer Joins Global Automakers as Manager of State Affairs

WASHINGTON—July 5, 2011: The Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) welcomes David Bauer as Manager of State Affairs. Bauer has experience in both the Maryland General Assembly and on Capitol Hill.

Bauer earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School and is a licensed attorney in the state of Maryland. He has a Masters in Political Management from George Washington University. Bauer spent five years as a chief of staff in the Maryland House of Delegates. Prior to joining Global Automakers, he served as judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

The Association of Global Automakers represents international motor vehicle manufacturers, original equipment suppliers, and other automotive-related trade associations. Our members’ market share of both U.S. sales and production is 40 percent and growing. We work with industry leaders, legislators, and regulators to create the kind of public policy that improves vehicle safety, encourages technological innovation, and protects our planet.
