Infiniti Reports A Decrease of 24.3% June 2011 Sales Over a Year Ago

FRANKLIN, TN--July 1, 2011: Infiniti today reported U.S. sales of 6,282 units for the month of June, a decrease of 24.3 percent versus 8,304 units a year earlier.  Calendar year-to-date Infiniti sales of 47,268 are flat compared to the 47,300 units sold during the same period last year.  

Highlights of Infiniti's sales performance for June include:

• Sales of the new Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV increased 27.5 percent in June to 839 units, while its year-to-date sales of 5,633 are up 27.0 percent
• Infiniti G Sedan sales of 2,641 for the month supported a 4.9 percent year-over-year increase for that model

Full production has now resumed at factories producing Infiniti luxury performance vehicles in Japan, and more than 10,000 new units will arrive at Infiniti retailers in the U.S. during the month of July.

"We hit our lowest inventory level at our retailers during the month of June, but our factories are now at full production and thousands of new Infiniti models are on their way to our retailers," said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas.  "Buyers will find a good supply of our luxury cars in the weeks ahead, including the new Infiniti M Hybrid performance sedan and QX full-size SUV, as well as the popular Infiniti G Line."
