AUTO CENTRAL - June 30, 2011: It was reported today that an MSNBC political analyst, Mark Halperin, was suspended from on-air duties for calling Barack Obama a "dick" during a broadcast on a show called "Morning Joe." A replay of the video can be seen in the video window below.
The event was actually really a set up since Halperin asked the show's hosts and technical staff if the "7-second" delay was working. He notified them that he wanted to say something that he felt was too adult for the simpletons at MSNBC to deal with, but he wanted them to know how he really felt. In response to Halperin's question the staff encouraged him to speak his mind. He did, and he was suspended. The fair thing would have been to suspend everyone associated with the show for lying to Halpern in the first place.
Meanwhile, over at TheAutoChannel.com, Marc J. Rauch - Executive Vice President and Co-Publisher - remains unscathed for calling Barack Obama a "putz" just one week ago. "Putz" for those of you who don't know is a Yiddish word that carries the same connotation as "dick." In fact, it specifically refers to the same part of the male anatomy.
Marc's comments came in response to Obama's enormously stupid move of releasing oil from the country's strategic oil reserves in a meaningless show of displeasure with the oil producers who are likely paying him or his re-election campaign some sizable bribes.
Questioned about his comment last week and its juxtaposition to Mark Halperin's comment today, Marc said, "Obama is a putz. I used the word putz instead of dick or schmuck or any other slang term that could be used because it has a comedic ring to it." "The guy and his handling of the country is a joke, so why not use the word that fits the situation," Marc added.
Marc remains diligently working at The Auto Channel unfettered by criticism of his Obama comment, but deeply concerned about the state of America.
