SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – June 30, 2011: Abarth, the high performance arm of Fiat Group, returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for a second year – and the star of the show will be the stunning Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari.

The 695 Tributo, which takes Abarth’s direct competition links to a new level, is one of the most eye-catching models the brand builds. And there will be plenty of chances to view the car, as it features in the supercar parade throughout the Festival of Speed.

Powered by a 1368cc turbocharged engine, producing 180bhp at 5500rpm and 250Nm torque at 3000rpm, the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari accelerates from 0-62mph in under seven seconds and can reach a top speed of 140mph. However, the frugal engine can return 43.3mpg on the combined cycle.

The Goodwood event also marks the first UK public appearance of the new Abarth 500C with manual transmission and the Abarth Punto Evo esseesse. Up until now the 500C version was only available with Abarth’s ‘Competizione’ paddle-shift gearbox.

There will be a limited number of chances for test drives of all the Abarth cars during the festival’s Moving Motor Show.

“Abarth is delighted to be back at Goodwood,” says Ivan Gibson, head of Abarth in the UK. “It’s one of the leading events on the motoring calendar and is a wonderful opportunity for the public to see and, for a lucky few, to sample the range of Abarth products.”
