Dearborn, June 24, 2011: FordParts.com, the intuitive, consumer-friendly website that puts the customer in control by providing all the information required to make informed buying decisions of Genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts, celebrates its one-year anniversary this month.

To celebrate, Ford Customer Service Division-sponsored drivers Bob Tasca III, of the NHRA Full Throttle Series, and Trevor Bayne, of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, teamed up with Len and Eddie Wood of Wood Brothers Racing to make a video about the site.

The short film, shot at Tasca Racing in Charlotte, N.C., was inspired by a phrase Tasca used after winning the NHRA SuperNationals in Englishtown, N.J. in 2010 – “FordParts.com is so easy to use, you can even order parts in your pajamas.”

Shooting the video was a lot of fun, said Eddie Wood, despite the fact that both Tasca and the Wood Brothers take a few friendly jabs in it.

“I had a great time,” said Tasca, who watched as his phrase came to life during filming. “Trevor and I had some fun giving the Woods a hard time about adapting to the internet.”

Twelve months ago, the virtual doors of FordParts.com opened to a diverse, eager audience and the demand for Ford and Motorcraft parts through the website hasn’t slowed. Customers – from national fleets and municipalities, to local automotive repair shops, to the everyday consumer – are spending an average of ten minutes on the site per visit, using the VIN –search capability to find the exact part they need from over 280,000 available part numbers with just a click of the mouse.

The numbers for FordParts.com rise by the day. Nearly half of all visitors to the site return again.
