Sprint Cup - Robby Gordon Infineon Preview

Charlotte, June 24, 2011: Robby Gordon, known as one of the toughest contenders for any road course race event, and the No. 7 team have been preparing for this weekend’s race for weeks now. The No. 7 SPEED Energy team has tested at Virginia International Raceway and has made improvements to the race car that they hope will bolster their chance at victory lane.

This weekend’s Save Mart 350 marks Gordon’s 14th start at Infineon Raceway. Winner of the 2003 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Infineon Raceway, Gordon has also recorded three top-5 and four top-10 finishes at the 1.99-mile track.

"I’m really excited to come back to Sonoma where we've had a lot of success. Last year was a great race for our team finishing 2nd, and we look forward towards capitalizing on that. If everything goes well from qualifying to pit stops and strategy, you should find the SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T towards the front. We have GNC as a partner this weekend.
