LOS ANGELES--June 9, 2011: Motor Press Guild (MPG), the largest automotive media association in North America, is delighted to announce BMW North America President/CEO Jim O'Donnell as the featured guest at the organization's next gathering. In his current role at BMW, O'Donnell has been responsible for all sales, marketing and distribution activities for the BMW and MINI brands in the U.S. since April 2008. Following one of the most attended MPG meetings of 2011 at Kia's U.S. Headquarters in May, the upcoming luncheon will be at The Proud Bird restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

"The luncheon program for MPG in 2011 has resulted in some truly spectacular presentations and we couldn't be more excited to hear what Mr. O'Donnell has to say," said James Bell, President, Motor Press Guild. "Our members will also get a first-hand look at the new BMW 6 Series Cabrio and the new Z4 Roadster."

O'Donnell will share BMW's perspective on the U.S. automotive market, including the competitive landscape for leadership in the luxury vehicle category. He will also highlight BMW's corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts, which have led to the new DON'T TXT & DRIVE campaign launching nationwide on June 16, 2011. The campaign was designed to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while distracted by phones and other devices.
