WICHITA, KS--June 2, 2011: -- Universal Lubricants announced today that its Super XHD Synthetic 5W30 has received the distinguished General Motors (GM) dexos1 certification. The company's motor oil is a dexos1 full synthetic that is both API-SN and ILSAC-GF5 approved.

Specifically designed to meet the needs of GM gasoline engines, the dexos1 accreditation attests to the product's proven performance during rigorous testing. Meeting GM's exacting standards, Universal Lubricant's Super XHD Synthetic 5W30 oil ensures ultimate engine protection by offering: (1) Improved viscometric properties, which generate less friction in the engine and contribute to enhanced fuel economy; (2) aeration resistance, which enables efficient fuel-saving; (3) superior oxidation and deposit-forming tendencies, which reduces emission output; and (4) minimized frequency of required oil changes, extending the time and mileage between drain intervals.

"Like Universal Lubricants, GM understands that a car's performance, durability, and environmental sensitivity depends on the quality of the motor oil that goes into the vehicle. The right oil keeps an engine in optimal health for sustained periods of time; substandard oil causes an engine to operate disappointingly and may even inflict harm," said John Wesley, chief executive officer of Universal Lubricants. "So, whether it's a Chevrolet, GMC or Buick, GM drivers can rest assured that there is no better option than our dexos1 certified Super XHD Synthetic 5W30 for their engines."

Made of the highest quality base oil and additives, Universal Lubricant's Super XHD Synthetic 5W30 is blended at the company's facility in Wichita, Kansas.

"Universal Lubricants always knew our robust synthetic motor oil would exceed even the highest expectations of the auto industry -- and while we're incredibly pleased, we can't say we're surprised that GM found this to be true, as well," added Wesley.
