MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – May 31, 2011: MINI Australia today added a little more heat to its ever-popular Chilli package with sharper retail pricing.

Effective from last month, all MINI Cooper, Cooper S and Cooper D Hatch, Cabrio and Clubman models will offer the Chilli package at just $900.

In the case of the top-selling MINI Cooper S, with Chilli package included, this high-performance, highly-specified, hot-hatch now hits the market at $41,600*.

The content of the Chilli package remains unchanged but has been reduced in price by over 75 percent.

While each model varies in features, the fixed Chilli specification level adds sought after items including an upgrade in alloy wheels, Harmon Kardon Hi-Fi System, sports seats, Climate Control and cloth/leather combination upholstery.

The sporting character of MINI’s top-selling Cooper S Hatch Chilli also includes Bi-Xenon headlights – which in total means over $5500 of value for $900. This sits on top of an existing high level of standard specification including Bluetooth, USB audio interface, DSC, Cornering Brake Control, sport button and an onboard computer – making for an extremely compelling offer.

David Woollcott, National MINI Manager, says the Chilli package has always proven extremely popular.

“Our customers demonstrate their appreciation of MINI’s vast customisation options made highly accessible through unbeatable pricing.

“The MINI Cooper S Chilli now priced at $41,600 is without equal in terms of value and desirability,” said Woollcott.

The Chilli designation fits the MINI brand perfectly. It is exciting and unique and adds a dash of spice to core models.
