Indianapolis, May 28, 2011: Juncos Racing drivers Tatiana Calderon, J.V. Horto, Martin Scuncio and Gustavo Menezes will start tonight's 100-lap race at the Night Before the 500 event in fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth positions. Calderon, who qualified fifth, ended up with the exact same lap time and speed as current championship leader Tristan Vautier, and her teammates' qualifying times allowed the quartet to positions themselves side by side, filling up fifty percent of the top eight starting positions and promising an exciting start to the first oval race of the season.

Tatiana Calderon: "I think this was one of my best qualifying sessions in the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. I'm obviously really happy with my result. After the problems we had in practice, I'm now really confident with the car, and I'm much more confident for the race. I know we are going to have a really good car, so I'm very excited for the race tonight."

J.V. Horto: "Qualifying wasn't what we expected since we always want to be in the top three positions at least, but the race is another deal. We have a good car for the race and in traffic, and it will be 100 laps long, so we have plenty of time to recover some positions. We are going to work hard to race to the front tonight."

Martin Scuncio: "We have a really consistent car. Qualifying wasn't exactly where we wanted to be, but it's going to be completely different once we get into the race. I'm starting eighth which means it's going to be exciting to race to the front. It should be a fun race, and I'm looking forward to it."

Gustavo Menezes: "We are pretty comfortable with our results. Unfortunately, it's not exactly what we were shooting for, but the car was really stable. I think I could have pushed a little harder, but we are still in a good place for the race. A lot can happen in 100 laps, and I think if we stay consistent, we can get a really good result."

Tonight's 100-lap race on the .686-mile oval at Lucas Oil Raceway will commence at 8:10 p.m. EST (if the rain stays away). Live timing and scoring will be available at www.livetiming.net/starmazda.
