Johnson Controls Announces $100,000 for Disaster Relief Assistance in Alabama

MILWAUKEE--May 13, 2011: Johnson Controls , a global diversified company in the building and automotive industries, today announced that it is donating $100,000 for disaster relief assistance in Alabama in the aftermath of recent tornadoes. The donation will be directed to two United Way agencies United Way of West Alabama and United Way of Central Alabama.

"Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating tornadoes in Alabama. We have a responsibility to provide assistance in our local communities and hope that our support offers some relief to victims of this disaster," said Steve Roell, chairman and chief executive officer of Johnson Controls.

Johnson Controls employees are providing additional donations to United Way and other local organizations. Approximately 800 employees from the company's Automotive Experience business work and live in the affected areas.
