Obama: U.S. to Probe Spiking Gasoline Prices; TACH: We Guess the Politicians Want Bigger Payoffs

Here's a real shocker for ya; the President doesn't know why oil and gasoline prices are so high

Speaking at a Town Hall Meeting in Reno, Nevada, Barak Obama announced that he was launching a probe into oil price fraud and speculation. "We are going to make sure that nobody is taking advantage of American consumers for their own short-term gain," Obama said. He added, "The problem is that oil is sold on these world markets, and speculators and people make various bets, and they say, 'you know what, we think that maybe there's a 20 percent chance that something might happen in the Middle East that might disrupt oil supply.�" Earlier this week Obama acknowledged that lack of supply was not the reason petroleum prices are rising.

So congratulations to Obama, on this point he is correct, there is no real reason for the prices to go up, they are going up because of greed, versus true supply and demand market conditions. And because we have no national alternative to oil and gasoline the greed is allowed to control the day.

Consequently there's no reason, except for one, as to why a probe should be launched into why the price rise is happening. And that one reason is to shake down the oil/gasoline industry and those who control the commodity markets. It's a political story as old as human life itself: when in need of more money, say to finance a re-election campaign of a failed presidency, you go extort money from the biggest possible contributors... and who has more money that the oil and gasoline industry?

Here's what we'll get: a report that states that oil and gasoline prices have risen because of greed, and prices will scale back slightly until the next go-round. And Barak Obama and other politicians (on both sides of the aisle) will fill their election war chests.

This is a tactic that's right out of the 'playbook' of America's most corrupt Democratic politicians; guys like Tweed, Walker, Long, and Daley.

For us, the people, we get screwed - as always, which means that the probe that begins as an investigative one turns into something a bit more rectal. To make matters worse we may even have to put up with another four years of the most inept presidential administration in our nation�s history.

There is an alternative: the alternative is mandating national reliance on what are at present referred to as "alternative fuels." In other words, make alternative fuels our primary fuels, and make petroleum oil fuels (gasoline and diesel) the secondary fuels. You see, it's like this, if there's no alternative to using gasoline then the people who control gasoline control our country and our lives. It's just that simple. No probes, of any kind, are necessary to understand what is happening and to find the solution.

Obama and Congress must immediately mandate the use of greatly higher levels of ethanol in gasoline, remove all onerous restrictions on CNG and propane conversions on existing vehicles, and tell the OPEC producers and gasoline companies that America is no longer in the business of defending their oil fields and tankers.

We don't need petroleum oil-based fuels; we don't need robed perverts dictating fuel supplies and prices; and we don't need international companies that have no allegiance to our country. We need fuels that are produced domestically by American companies that pay taxes and employ only American citizens.
