Austin Names New International Racing Venue Along With Announcment Of F1 and MotoGP Deals

Austin, Apr. 12, 2011: Austin Texas' emerging international racing venue is now called Circuit of the Americas.

In addition to today's formal naming announcement, the venue's Texas-based business collective headed by Red McCombs, has secured the right to host the US Grand Prix beginning in 2012, followed by the addition of a 2013 FIA MotoGP World Championship round.
