ALEXANDRIA, VA - March 14, 2011: The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) today introduced a new educational website dedicated to the international automotive brands that are designing, building, and selling vehicles in the United States. The site - www.WhatisanAmericanCar.com - is intended to provide data, photos, videos, and more on international nameplate manufacturing operations and dealer franchises.

"International nameplate vehicles are some of the most popular on America's roads today. However, their investment in America is often overlooked," said AIADA President Cody Lusk. "This new website will help shed light on the international automotive brands that are building vehicles and creating jobs right here in America.

According to Cars.com's 2010 survey, the Toyota Camry - assembled in Georgetown, Ky. with 80 percent of its parts sourced from the U.S. - ranks as the "most American" vehicle sold in the U.S., followed closely by the Honda Accord. The survey's results are representative of international nameplate brands overall, who are researching, developing, and building their vehicles in the U.S. at a higher rate than ever before.

AIADA's new website will allow users to access important data, as well as video footage and photos of plant operations. For more information, visit: www.WhatisanAmericanCar.com.
