NOTTING HILL, AUSTRALIA – January 27, 2011: In light of the recent devastating floods in Queensland, the Mazda network in Australia has made a cash donation of $268,000 in order to support relief work in affected communities.

This donation, collected from Mazda Australia, its staff and dealer network, has been made directly to the Queensland Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal which is being administered by the Queensland Government.

“There is no doubt that the scale of the recent floods in Queensland has left many communities facing months of rebuilding. The donation that has been made by Mazda Australia, its staff and dealers is our way of assisting and contributing to the important efforts to rebuild each of these communities,” Mazda Australia managing director, Doug Dickson said.

Everyone at Mazda Australia recognises the difficult time currently being experienced by Queenslanders and this donation is being made with the express intention of assisting those directly affected by this tragedy.
