Australian Luke Ellery Seeks Financial Support For 2011 USF2000 Season
Carrum Downs, Jan. 20, 2011: Melbourne IT Solutions have been announced as a premium partner of Australian Racing Driver, Luke Ellery. With the launch of his all new fundraising website today, Ellery praised Melbourne IT Solutions for their hard work in getting it up and running.
“I have from now until March to get together some money for a return to the USF2000 championship in America, and with this new fundraising site my family, friends and businesses both large and small can get behind me with the click of a button. A dedicated fundraising website was an idea we had in our heads for a while, but thanks to Carolyn Kruger at Melbourne IT Solutions and the team down at Carrum Downs, we have finally got it going” Stated Ellery.
The Victorian driver capped off an impressive 2010 campaign with his third Victorian State championship in a row, coupled with an eye opening debut in America which saw him qualify 2nd, before leading the field in his first race start in the category. He backed that up one day later when he charged through to his first podium finish in the category, putting himself into a great position for a successful outcome in 2011.
Luke’s story is made even more special after nearly throwing in the towel in 2010. Luke was without budget and had little on the horizon. 2 months later and Melbourne IT Solutions had jumped on board and put Luke on the grid for a return in the State Championship – winning every race he finished during the year.
“We had no 2010 budget after running the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 2009. I honestly thought we would be sitting around doing nothing, but Carolyn from Melbourne IT Solutions put her sticker on the side of the car and we went racing. The American dream has become so serious now I quit my day job to concentrate on sponsorship and fundraising” Said a determined Ellery.
Melbourne IT solutions have become a big player in the IT industry, and base their success on service and people skills. Managing director Carolyn Kruger says that supporting Luke Ellery is rewarding even when he races on the other side of the world.
“When we backed Luke for his American Debut, we got so much in return, even when he was racing in another country. The publicity we received back here in Australia was amazing, and in all the motorsport sponsorship proposals we have come across, Luke’s gave the biggest return by far – it was an easy business decision”
“We have now launched www.supportlukeellery.com and it is a great way for people to get involved with Australia’s next Indycar driver!” Insisted Kruger.
